Peyton LeCompte led the Lees McRae women's lacrosse team in goals and points in her freshman year, but the Bobcats limped to the finish line.
Lees McRae lost its final five games, and as LeCompte moves on to her sophomore season, she won't let this difficult finish take away from a fantastic inaugural campaign.
"Those last games were against some of the better teams in our conference, and on our schedule," LeCompte said. "The biggest goal that I have is to compete with those teams in the next years, but there is a lot of work to do."
LeCompte started all 16 games for the Bobcats as an attacking midfielder. She understood that her responsibility was to be an offensive threat, and she scored the team leading 46 goals to go along with four assists.
